Tampa's Riverwalk is a beautiful waterfront location that offers a variety of activities.
The Riverwalk stretches for 2.6 miles along the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa and is one of my favorite places in Tampa to visit. Here are 5 must do activities to experience when visiting the Riverwalk.
1. Take a Stroll or a Bike Ride
One of the best ways to experience the Riverwalk is to take a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the path. The Riverwalk offers stunning views of the Hillsborough River, downtown Tampa, and the surrounding areas.
2. Dine & Drink
On one end of Riverwalk is Armature Works and on the other is Sparkman Warf where many of the restaurants and bars at Riverwalk are located. Visitors can enjoy a waterfront meal, grab a quick snack, or sip on a cocktail while taking in the views of the river.
3. Enjoy the Water Activities
The Riverwalk provides access to a variety of water activities, including kayaking and paddle boarding. Rentals are available along the Riverwalk, and visitors can enjoy a fun way to explore the Hillsborough River.
4. Attend Events
The Riverwalk hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, boat parades and cultural events celebrations. Check out the Tampa Riverwalk Event Calendar for a list of events: Tampa Riverwalk Events
5. Visit Museums
There are several wonderful museums located along Tampa Riverwalk. A few favorites are the Tampa Museum of Art, the Glazer Children's Museum and The Tampa Bay History Center.
Tampa's Riverwalk offers a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy. Whether you are looking for a great place to go for a "day date", a friend's night out, or a fun thing to do with out-of-town visitors, the Riverwalk has something for everyone!
